Happy First Week of February! It’s almost time for you guys’ favorite holiday — Valentine’s Day!

My single ass will be content with going to work and a long rom com marathon!

What are you guys plans for this year? I know it’s not something all couples celebrate every year. It’s still cute to hear the plans for those that like to.

Anyway,

Let’s check in: Have you had a good weekend? Did we meet our goals for the week? Drink enough water?

Or better yet, are you caught up on content?

It is officially Black History Month.

This week I covered the history of the first black superhero — as well as the richest man in the world.

Chaotic Weeks Tell The Best Stories

This has been the craziest week... Two words I could use to best describe what I felt all week is Dazed and Confused.

To start the week I could barely work without suffering, because I had my first really bad migraine in six months. It was so bad it lasted three weeks. no lights, no phone, I keep myself in the confides of a comforter cocoon for as long as possible.

Thursday’s highlights consist of disruptions at my job that cause the police to be called.

To preface: I work in a library. You would think it couldn’t possibly get too crazy.

Well.

A guy comes into my job asking us to find specific author for him. I assume he’s going to find a book to check out, so I look up the author for him and direct him accordingly. I watch him walk towards the shelves and continue with patrons that were behind him. I don’t think anything of it when he leaves with nothing. Perhaps he changed his mind?

Fifteen minutes later I see the librarian in charge and security storming out of our children’s library. They do this for ten minutes. I’m confused and drew my attention to them until they came back with answers. Then, security comes around and she says, if you see the guy again, let me know.

What’d he do? steal a book?

Turns out, when he left, he turned the corner towards the children’s library —

and flashed a family.

Five minutes after that — A patron walks in in a bathrobe and pajamas and slippers. And I kid you not, all I said was goodmorning —

This guy goes on saying IT IS A GOODMORNING MADE BY OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. HAVE YOU PRAISED OUR LORD TODAY? HE LOVES YOU!

He goes on this tangent and I slowly turn in my chair towards my coworker. “We need to go home.” I say, regretting even speaking to the man.

My coworker looks up, fighting the urge to laugh, “He’s waving his arms around…oh, now he’s praying over us.”

Ya’ll… this all happened within forty minutes of opening.

The calmest thing that happened to me in the week was my nephew. On Friday, my nephew arrived prematurely — so unexpectedly — but he is healthy and that’s all that matters to me.

And I still managed to write. I don’t know how I did it. But I would appreciate any love shown on the content this week!

I hope all of you are having a good morning, afternoon or night whenever this reaches you and I will see you in my next post!
